Smolinski and Nolan to Play 1,000th Game in NHL

Bryan Smolinski, whose professional NHL career began on March 27, 1993, celebrated his 1,000th NHL game Monday night. The player took the opening faceoff in the Canadiens’ game against the Bruins at the Bell Centre. Later the same night, Calgary winger Nolan was poised to play 1,000th career game when the Calgary Flames hosted the Sharks. Before signing as a free agent with the Montreal Canadiens in the summer, Bryan Smolinski, went on to play for Pittsburgh, New York, Ottawa, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Vancouver.
