The Chicago Bulls were the best defensive team in the NBA last year. The players forced a lot of bad shots and caused many turnovers. Offensively, the team was pretty darn bad. The Bulls turned the ball over a bunch, and were actually bad at getting to the free throw line. Chicago defense was good enough to lead the team through the regular season and net the Bulls the third seed in the Eastern Conference, but the team’s limited offense was held to less than ninety points in each of their four playoff losses to the Detroit Pistons, so that even a great defense cannot make up for offense like that.
