Yesterday, the NHL fined Rangers’ Sean Avery and Maple Leafs’ Darcy Tucker after they almost came to blows during the warmup of New York’s 3-2 victory on Saturday. Sean Avery and Darcy Tucker, 2 of the NHL’s most notorious instigators, were involved in a verbal sparring session that led to a pushing game. No punches were thrown, however, the two did drop the gloves and fight in the 1st period of the match. New York was fined $25,000, while Toronto was given a $10,000 fine.
