Seattle Mariners Announce 18 Non-Roster Invitees to Spring Training

Greg Hunter(  Seattle Mariners Director of Player Personnel) has announced today that the team have extended spring training invitations to Major League camp to 18 players.The list includes 11 pitchers (RHP - 7, LHP - 4), three catchers, three infielders and one outfielder. Here is the list:

Seven of the players have prior Major League experience: Barzilla, Corcoran, Reitsma, Rhodes, Woods, Kiger and Sardinha. Reitsma and Woods both pitched for the Mariners in 2007. Rhodes made the Opening Day roster.The list also includes 10 players from the Mariners minor league system, including 2007 first-round draft pick Phillippe Aumont. Five of the players (Downs, Mickolio, Rohrbaugh, Woods, Ust) played at AAA Tacoma last season, while minor league affiliates West Tennessee (AA), High Desert (A), Wisconsin (A) and Peoria (R) .
