Wayne Rooney, the England and Manchester United forward, was at the top of his game last Saturday, when the arch rivals met in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Manchester United scored an impressive 4-0 win over the Gunners without their top attackers Christiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs. Wayne Rooney who returned to play this game after serving out the suspension played brilliantly in the first half of the match and scored the first goal in the 16th minute of the match. Rooney toyed with the Arsenal defensive line up and could have added more goals to his tally, but for the misses.
The matters got worse for Arsenal when Emmanuel Eboue was shown the red card in the 48th minute due to a foul he made on Patrice Evra. The Manchester United fans were treated to some awesome football control skills by their team and in particular by Wayne Rooney. The England coach Fabio Capello who watched the match in the stadium was thrilled to bits by the performance of Wayne Rooney, that he applauded the striker back to the dug out when he was substituted with 20 minutes left for the match. The other exceptional player for Manchester United in this match was Nani.
