Florida Panthers wins fourth game in a row

Nathan Horton is in the form of his life as he was responsible in bringing the last two wins for the Florida Panthers by scoring overtime goals in both the matches. The Panthers 3-2 victory over Atlanta constituted for the fourth successive victory and Nathan Hornet said that it was a huge win for the Panthers as they need to keep on winning matches after matches to secure a place in the playoffs. The Panthers are currently placed along with Washington in the tenth place of the Eastern Conference Championship with 72 points.

Horton said that the Panthers are aware of the tough road ahead and all they are concentrating on is to win every game. They pretty well know that if they lose, then they could be out of contention for the playoffs. Brett McLean scored two power play goals for the Panthers and they dominated the entire overtime period after rallying from a 2-0 deficit in normal time. The Florida Panthers fielded their number one goalie Tomas Vokoun for this match and he made a total of 25 saves in this game. Florida captain Olli Jokinen said that the team played pretty badly in the first period, but finally pulled up their socks to show some will power to win the game.
