The General Manager of the Blue Jackets Scott Howson has made an emergency roster change as he has recalled Alexander Picard, the left winger of the Syracuse team to play in the team for the final eight matches of the season due to the injury in the hand to center Dan Fritsche. The 22 year old Picard has scored seven goals for the Syracuse team in the 46 games this season and has made 11 assists for his 18 points.
Alexandre Picard has so far made 40 career appearances in the NHL League and was the first pick for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2004 Entry draft. He played his career high 23 games for the Blue jackets in the 2006-07 season and registered his first NHL point against Chicago with an assist. Picard has so far picked 29-34-63 in his 206 career NHL games for the Columbus Blue jackets and has achieved 91 penalty minutes so far in his career.
