It was reported recently on April 11 that Luis Sharpe, ex-lineman from the NFL Arizona Cardinals have pleaded guilty to four separate drug charges on Friday and may now face up to six years in prison if convicted.
The 47 year old former lineman played for the Cardinals in a cumulative period of 12 years from 1982 to 1994 and was even included in a three-time Pro Bowl selection. Sharpe has been notoriously dogged by drug problems since early 1995 and was even spent time in jail in the year 2000 after a brief drug conviction. He went in again for almost three years in the year 2004 after being found guilty of separate drug charges.
Recently on Friday Sharpe pleaded guilty in Maricopa County Superior Court based on charges and separate arrests for possessing crack cocaine last year. He is awaiting sentence which is expected to happen on May 9 and the judge might sentence him to a total of six years jail inclusive of probation.
