One of our favorite players at MySportsBlogSite is Raul Ibanez and we are glad that he was chosen as one of the MLB Players of the Week. Ibanez is a 35 year old outfielder from the Seattle Mariners who started playing for the Mariners after being chosen in the 36^th round of the 1992 Free Agent Draft. His roles included being a catcher and outfielder and was selected as an All Star during the 1994 to 1995 MLB season. He spent three seasons as a free agent with the Kansas City Royals before returning to the Seattle Mariners where he experienced his most productive season in the year 2006. He was last known to have finished the outstanding 2007 season with a .291 batting average.
