Supercross is (in this writer’s humble opinion) a far more exciting sport than car racing, as well as numerous other sports for that matter. It just doesn’t receive as much credit as it should. Then again, it’s not exciting when the tricks are done right. It’s that snapshot moment in the air when you realize “there’s no way he can land this” that the sport reaches its pinnacle. Call it schadenfreude or sadism if you will, but accidents are great to watch. And unlike NASCAR where there is the whole car, airbags, seatbelt to protect the driver, the bike ride has only a helmet, and over two hundred breakable bones. It’s pretty much for this reason that Supercross event tickets make guarantee a great time out.
