The Chicago Blackhawks won Game 6 last night at home against the Vancouver Canucks. The first part of the game was evenly matched, just as it had been in the early part of the series. The Hawks have really become a strong team in the last few games, and many of the players have really stepped up. Vancouver had taken an early lead, but just a few minutes later Chicago scored right back. After two periods, the score was tied 3-3. Then the Canucks took one goal leads twice, only to have Chicago tie it up and then get two more. They won the game 7-5 and it was a big win at home for the Blackhawks. The Canucks put up a great series up until the last two games or so. They outplayed Chicago at the beginning, but weren’t able to catch up with a rapidly improving opponent. Chicago will be playing in the conference finals for the first time in almost 15 years!
