The Kentucky Derby winner, Mine That Bird, was in the Preakness Stakes last weekend and it was a close race. Her jockey in the Derby, Calvin Borel, had switched to the Filly horse, Rachel Alexandra. And he won! It looks like this jockey is a genius, almost as though the horses have nothing to do with it. He didn’t have to run quite as strange a race this time, like he did in the Derby as well as in several other previous Triple Crown races. He just got a lead fairly early and held onto it. Mine that Bird, however, ran a close second, which is impressive for a horse that was 50-1 a few weeks ago. It was a fun race, although it appears that there weren’t as many people there because there was a ban on alcohol in the infield. This didn’t stop the horses anyway!
