There is a challenge going on with the Memphis NCAA team regarding their current prized basketball alumnus, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls. There is a rumor, apparently true, that he is in trouble with the NCAA because in his token one year in Memphis he might have gotten in under false pretenses. The reported violation is that there is an invalid SAT score from his high school that might have helped him get in there instead of going elsewhere. Sometimes this kind of thing happens with players that are doing a short stopover in the NCAA before they enter the NBA and it will be interesting to hear what it is that they are going to say about it. They apparently knew about that problem and didn’t mind, but it’s not sure when they found out about it and everything else.
