The NCAA will bring out an upsetting ruling for Alabama today or tomorrow: they will probably have to vacate as many as 21 wins. The challenge is about a number of different Alabama problems, mainly regarding improperly purchased books for students. It’s not completely clear from what I know, but it’s about kickbacks and other kinds of problems that you might run into with college students, who are not allowed to be paid. The school has done a good job making sure that they are following the rules now, and they have been fair in their handling of the problems otherwise. The NCAA is, however, for reasons of integrity and consistency, going to have to follow through on the normal consequences. I daresay, however, that Alabama wont be there.
