Coyotes of NHL Not Leaving Yet

The Phoenix Coyotes will not be leaving Arizona quite yet. The team filed for bankruptcy after several odd news reports and a lot of grief from the NHL and the hearings are in progress. Many different situations were going on and the NHL had partial ownership of the team for awhile. It’s very complicated, but the end result was that a businessman came forward, saying that he would be interested in buying the team and taking it back to Canada. But the judge in the case stated that this particular plan wasn’t going to work in the time frame suggested, because 14 days would be too short to put the whole case together. So for the moment, hockey will remain in Phoenix.
