A Strange Case

This weekend, the holiday weekend, a very odd case filtered down to us over the news media. It was a big news story that Steve McNair had been found dead in his condo. And not only that, but that the former Tennessee Titans star quarterback had been shot to death. More details keep being released, but the bottom line seems to be that he was shot twice in the head and twice in the chest. A friend, or girlfriend, was found dead with one shot to the head right near him. This opens up a rather sticky part of McNair’s life, including the possibility that he was in the process of being divorced from his wife of many years to marry this girlfriend. Or that he had refused to do so. He’s been in trouble with the law several times. But he was also very active in volunteer and charitable work, so it’s hard to say that his life was bad. He led the Titans to their only appearance in the Super Bowl almost 10 years ago and was the MVP several times. This story isn’t nearly over, but we hope for the best for his family and that of his friend.
