Yao Ming is injured. In fact, he might have lost the entirety of next season. He had hurt fractured a foot bone during the last series of the playoffs. They had hoped that he would heal without the need for extra procedures. But unfortunately, it wasn’t healing on its own. He had some options and he has decided that he will have extensive surgery on his foot, a bone graft that will lower his arch and make the pressure on his foot. This will up his chances of coming back safely. But at the same time, he will be out of the NBA for all of next year. Hopefully he will be good enough to play in 2010-11, bringing the Rockets back from the wilderness. We shall see.
