Beckham Running Low on Friends

David Beckham made his stunning return to Los Angeles this week. He had been playing in Milan for several months and many of the fans are upset about it. This combines with a rather unusual behind-the-scenes story about Beckham and the current captain of the Galaxy (which I detailed several weeks ago). He was booed in his return last weekend to MLS, but the Los Angeles fans at their home game were surprisingly angry and vocal about their annoyance. There was an entire confrontation where Beckham went over to a major cheering section and motioned a fan to come towards him. The fan then left the stands and was arrested for trespassing by security guards. Beckham seems pretty sure that he’s going back to Milan in November, so it wont be an issue for the team for too much longer, especially if they don’t make the playoffs.
