Plaxico Burress is in a lot of extra trouble now. Actually, it’s not that much more than he was in before, but it’s looking worse for him today. The district attorney in New York City came out today saying that Burress will be going to prison either by plea or by trial, leaving almost no possibility that he’s actually innocent of the firearms charge against him. He has apparently agreed to spend a year in prison on a plea, but the DA says that he should spend two. It looks like celebrity isn’t going to help him in New York City. The interesting thing is that he never shot anyone but himself. That kind of stinks, because he was both shot and will go to prison because his shot called attention to his gun. So he may or may not make it back to the NFL later on.
