This offseason, the Rockets got some bad news: he was going to miss the 2009-2010 season due to an operation that he would have to have on an injured foot. He’s had the operation and he’s progressing well. In fact, he’s doing so well that he might even get a chance to play during the course of this season without hurting himself. It no longer looks like it could be a career-threatening injury and in fact he could be back relatively soon. This wont make the season too much easier for the Rockets. Tracy McGrady, practically the only major player left on the team, will be trying to put himself in a major leadership position. In some ways, the team will simply be waiting out this season, hoping for something better in 10-11, but not holding the breath too much at this point. Who knows, though. Stranger things have happened!
